I was very pleased to be able to recently visit the Edrington bottling hall in Drumchapel in the Glasgow West constituency.
As well as being the name behind some world famous single malt whiskies such as The Macallan, Highland Park, and The Glenrothes, Edrington are also a valued local employer across the communities of Glasgow West.
The bottling hall in Drumchapel is where Edrington bottle their Single Malts, and where they blend and bottle The Famous Grouse, their Blended Scotch Whisky. They also do all their export shipping from Drumchapel. So it really is the beating heart of the business!
During my visit I had the opportunity of taking a sample from one of the whisky casks.
